Technically this info is supposed to be classified and top secret, I'm not kidding. Anyone known to possess and use a MRI CD without express permission from best buy could be subject to legal action.
BUT the MRI is a bundle of software exes that the geek squad "agents" run on your comp to fix pretty much all software issues except for installs and restores.
It also has programs like Western Digital and Hitachi DTF's (Drive fitness tests) used to diagnose hard drive errors. It contains other such programs to help diagnose hardware flaws on a boot-able CPU.
Typically a "highly qualified agent" will put in the CD, it will auto run, they will click next, and walk away while the MRI system does everything for them.
This is one main reason why people complain that the guys behind the counter are useless. They are, for the most part. Most of the intelligent ones are supervisors, or double agents, you need not be certified to work behind the counter, but you need to be certified to be in charge, and to go out to houses.
Also "genuine" MRI Cd's can be sold (supposedly) for almost 5000 dollars. (US) Most agents have a "Burnt" copy, legit copies are normally held by the precinct sup or senior. (from yahoo answers) down load all files extract, mount toCD burn and run.

When it comes to opening The MRI.exe it gets back the message."File expired.Download the updated file".Then what? Where to go to download the updated file? On"The Geek Squad" Site,they obviously know nothing about...
It downloads but when you wanna run it says to download newest version because its expired. Now what do i do? email me: ynry946@yahoo.com
chance the date on the BIOS to an earlier date. like 2007
it still doesn't work, i have tried changing the date on BIOS back to 2004 but no use.... please let me know wat to do, desperately needed help
Go to this URL to download the latest version 5.0.0.0 which is fully bootable from an ISO file. After having opened it, you can burn the image to a Cd or mount it to a folder on your HD. The program runs perfect! Enjoy.
